Coimbatore brand ‘The Nesavu’ won best designer kids wear brand 2019 in India by Kidsstoppress
Mumbai: Kidstoppress is a go-to and trusted platform for parents to simplify parenting. The event happened in Mumbai ( the world tower, lower Parel ). The keynote speech was done by Sameera reddy on the topic ‘being imperfect in the perfect social world’.
‘THE NESAVU’ is run by the duo Balajee and Uma Balajee. They come from the family, which has a rich textile heritage and has strong academics in fashion.
Uma Balajee, who is a mompreneur, shares her view on scoring this award “Couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2020. A Humble Coimbatore born brand competing with many giant brands from the north and securing a win amongst a stiff competition makes us more conscious and responsible.
Though participation is important than winning, sometimes in life, winning is also the answer to a lot of questions and a validation. Winning this award has been an affirmation for those extra long hours at work, time spend away from my kid, fighting mom guilt, having butterflies at stomach every time before our new collection launch.
This validation justified every struggle, and it gives us some reassurance that we are on the right path of making our dreams a reality! It provides us with the strive to do what we do in a better way! Onwards and upwards. They say it takes a village to raise a kid and when you run a business along with a kid it needs a country want to thank Mom and my mother in law for being there for my son so that I can chase my dreams. And my husband for believing in me and pushing me further.
This whole #kspawards2019 experience was so inspiring, supportive, motivating, lit and cheerful. I wish more brands from TamilNadu participate in this forum and get their effort recognized and gives fierce competition to the North Indian brands.
